Supermarkets overprice guacamole considering how easy (and cheap!) it is to just make yourself. Paired with homemade pita chips and your snacking life will never be the same.
Ingredients – guacamole
- 3 avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tomatoes, diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
Directions
In a bowl, mash together the avocados.
Add the lime juice, and salt.
Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic.

Ingredients – pita chips
- 2 large pitas
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Cut each pita bread into bite-sized pieces.
Place pita bits on a baking tray.
Brush each triangle with olive oil and sprinkle on garlic salt and pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 minutes, or until lightly browned and crispy.
